Yanis Island has a Private Cabin over the water with 1 double bed for 2–3 guests, and a Group Cabin on the sand: a shared dorm with single twin or bunk beds for 4–6 guests, where you book an individual bed. Both use shared communal bathrooms with basic showers that use treated water. Solo travellers can book the Group Cabin, but not the Private Cabin.

Neither, exactly. The showers on the islands are very basic and rustic. The water is taken from the ocean and goes through an underground treatment process, then it’s pumped up to the showers, so it isn’t salt water, but it isn’t fully fresh water like you’d find in a hotel or city either.

Adult Group Cabin rates are USD 170.00 per person for one night, or USD 95.00 per person, per night for two or more nights. Adult Private Cabin rates are USD 190.00 per person for one night, or USD 125.00 per person, per night for two or more nights. Ages 10 and over pay adult rates.

Children can only stay in the Private Cabin, as the Group Cabin is a shared dorm. Ages 5–9 pay USD 125.00 for one night, or USD 90.00 per night for two or more nights; toddlers aged 0–4 pay USD 50.00 per person; ages 10 and over pay adult rates. Children count towards the cabin occupancy of 2–3 guests.

Each excursion visits 2 nearby islands plus the natural pool, subject to weather and tide conditions. It costs USD 25.00 per person for ages 10 and over, USD 12.50 for ages 5–9 and nothing for ages 0–4. You may book up to one excursion for one night, two for two nights, or three for three or more nights. Select and pay for excursions when you book, as they can’t be added on the day of your trip. Local staff confirm the details on the island.

All extras and add-ons must be selected and paid for when you book. Once the day of your trip arrives, you can’t add or request any extras or add-ons.

Yes. Late checkout lets you stay on the island until 3:00 PM, with lunch included. It costs USD 35.00 per person for ages 10 and over, USD 15.00 for ages 5–9 and nothing for ages 0–4. Add it and pay for it when you book, as it can’t be added on the day of your trip.

Yes. The stay includes round-trip shared 4x4 SUV transport from Panama City, round-trip boat transfers, and meals during the island stay, with 1 beverage per meal. The arrival-day breakfast stop is optional, not included and paid separately.

Each included meal comes with 1 drink: water, juice or soda. If you’d like more, you can buy extra drinks on the island.

Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own alcohol, drinks and snacks for your stay.

Wi-Fi is generally available on the island while the generators are on, but once they’re turned off at night there’s no signal until the next day. Mobile signal varies a lot by island, location, time of day and weather, and phone reception in and around the islands is generally very weak.

Yes. Island staff can prepare eggs with other foods such as rice, beans, potatoes, fries, salads and fruit, among other options. What’s available varies from island to island, so tell the staff your requests when you arrive. There are no vegetarian protein options such as tofu or soy products. Vegans can have a double portion of the sides, such as rice, beans and salad, in place of the chicken, meat or fish. We recommend that vegetarians and vegans bring their own snacks, food and drinks to have during and between meals.

Pickup is from any hotel, Airbnb or private address within the designated coverage areas in Panama City, generally between 5:00 and 5:20 AM, with departure from Panama City at about 5:30 AM.

We pick you up and drop you off at hotels, hostels and Airbnb in and around Panama City. When you book, search for your pickup location and the booking system will tell you whether it’s inside our pickup area. Pickups from the Westin Playa Bonita or Dreams Playa Bonita cost an extra USD 10.00 per person. You can change your pickup location up to 24 hours before your trip; changes on the morning of the trip aren’t possible. After your trip, we can also drop you off at Tocumen International Airport, Albrook Airport or Albrook Bus Terminal at no extra cost. Just let us know when you leave the islands so we can arrange it.

With standard checkout, you generally arrive back in Panama City between 12:00 and 1:00 PM. With late checkout, the estimated return is between 7:00 and 7:30 PM.

Starfish are usually around the natural pool, but they won’t always be there, so sightings aren’t guaranteed.
