Sea San Blas Will Charge A Penalty Fee When The Following Occurs: 

If a customer does not respond and misses their pickup or is picked up and decides not to continue with the trip before arriving at the port on their scheduled trip date. In that case, Sea San Blas reserves the right to charge the customer a penalty transportation fee of $25 per person. Upon returning to their pickup location, the customer will incur no additional costs except for the fee mentioned above.


If the customer had selected to pay their remaining trip balance at the port cash, they would not be charged the remaining balance since they did not partake in the trip.

Online Deposit Refund

Sea San Blas will issue a refund of the total deposit amount under the following circumstances:

  • Sea San Blas cancels a guests' trip due to unsafe travel conditions because of weather-related concerns and hazards. Guests will have the option of scheduling the trip for another day if they would like or receive a full refund.
  • If a trip is canceled 72 hours before departure time, Sea San Blas will issue a full refund.
  • If a guest has to evacuate from the islands due to a medical emergency, Sea San Blas will refund the deposit amount paid by that guest or their party.


When a refund is forfeited, guests lose their online deposits. They would not be charged for anything else if they did not partake in the trip.


Sea San Blas will not issue a refund when the following occurs:

  • Guests decide to leave islands earlier than scheduled. We do our best to accommodate all guests and respect their wishes. In the event you would like to leave earlier than planned, we will arrange the necessary transportation. However, Sea San Blas will not refund the remaining hours not spent on the islands.
  • Guests completely forget about their scheduled trip with Sea San Blas to the San Blas Islands.
  • Guests decide not to partake in their scheduled trip because they do not like the weather that day. Keep in mind Sea San Blas will cancel/reschedule any trips it deems will be unsafe for tourists due to weather concerns and hazards.
  • Guests are not at their stated pickup locations on time and miss their departure in the morning. In this event, we (Sea San Blas) will not be responsible or issue any refunds. If the guest would like, we can attempt to reschedule another pickup for that same day at no additional cost.
  • Guests decide to cancel their reservation with Sea San Blas last minute. If the cancelation is requested less than 72 hours before the trip's departure, Sea San Blas will not refund the deposit paid online.

(Remaining Balance) Online Payment Refund

Sea San Blas will issue a full refund for a trip under the following circumstances:

  • Sea San Blas cancels a guests' trip due to unsafe travel conditions because of weather-related concerns and hazards. Guests will have the option of scheduling the trip for another day if they would like or receive a full refund.
  • If a trip is canceled 72 hours before departure time, Sea San Blas will issue a full refund.
